How Gear InfoTech collects, uses, and protects information on this website.

Gear InfoTech (“we,” “us”) runs gearinfotech.com. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form. Your name, email, phone number, organization, and the details of your message.
• Client accounts and billing. If you’re a client, we collect your account details and billing address. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we don’t store full card numbers.
• Emails and calls. Anything you send us directly.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data. Pages visited, referring site, browser type, device, and approximate location. We collect this through Jetpack Stats.
• Cookies. Some cookies keep the site working, like login and cart. Others measure traffic. See “Cookies” below.
• Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and usage information under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.

How we use information

• To reply to your inquiry and provide our services
• To manage client accounts, subscriptions, and invoices
• To improve the website and understand what visitors find useful
• To send occasional updates, if you’ve opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To protect the site from spam and abuse, and to meet legal obligations

We don’t sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as hosting, payments (Stripe), email (Mailchimp), analytics (Jetpack/Automattic), and spam protection (Google). We also share it when the law requires us to. These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us.

Client project data

When we build or maintain systems for clients, the data inside those systems belongs to the client. We handle it under our agreement with that client, not under this website policy.

Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features, like the client login, may not work without them. Our site doesn’t currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

Data retention

We keep contact form messages for up to 24 months and billing records as long as tax law requires. Then we delete them.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards like encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and regular updates. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@gearinfotech.com. California residents may have additional rights under state law.

Children

This website isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
